Sandalmaking is a great place to start if you’re wanting to dip your toes into shoemaking waters! This is a hands-on workshop, where you really get a feel for leather and how to transform it to a pair of sandals you’ll treasure.
Classes are held over x2 consecutive days 9-5pm. Follow the booking link for workshop dates. Please email me if you’d like to request a custom date.
Select from 7 customisable styles and from a stunning range of leather and hardware. To make them truly yours you can emboss your name or a message in silver or gold. This is a fanastic workshop if you’d like to learn the basics of leatherwork AND shoemaking combined.
Beginners are very welcome.
Sandals footbeds are made from thick natural leather, with a 10mm rubber capped heel. Footbeds can be narrowed or widened to suit your feet. You can choose from an almond, round or square toe. Styles are suitable for all genders.
This class involves some cutting and glueing of thick leathers. (If you're interested in a gentler shoemaking experience, I recommend the Sunday 1-day Sneaker workshop, which is all hand-sewing - no glues or hammers).
